Elliptic diesel flowmeter turbine flowmeter measurement accuracy characteristics
Elliptic gear flowmeter has high accuracy and is suitable for measuring the flow rate of high viscosity medium, but it is not suitable for the fluid containing solid particles. If the liquid medium is measured with gas, it will also cause measurement error. Usually measuring resin flow meter accuracy up to 0.5 level, is a more accurate flow meter, with high measurement accuracy, small impact of liquid viscosity, no need to install straight pipe section before the table, widely used in petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical and other oil and high viscosity media cumulative flow measurement.





A brief introduction to common diesel flow meter:
The flow measurement is independent of the flow state of the fluid, because the elliptic gear flow meter relies on the pressure head of the measured medium to push the elliptic gear rotation and measurement. The larger the viscosity of the medium, the smaller the amount of leakage from the gear and metering clearance, so the larger the adhesive skin of the nuclear testing medium, the smaller the leakage error, the more beneficial to the measurement. Elliptic gear flowmeter has high accuracy and is suitable for flow measurement in high viscosity media, but not for fluids containing solid particles (solid particles can jam gears, making flow measurement impossible). If the liquid medium is mixed with gas, the measurement error will also be caused. The pipeline should be cleaned before installing the elliptical gear flowmeter. If the liquid contains solid particles, a filter must be installed in the upstream of the pipeline; If gas should be installed exhaust device. Elliptic gear flowmeter has no requirement for front and back straight pipe sections. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically. During installation, the rotating shaft of the elliptical gear should be parallel to the ground.
Ii. Working principle of diesel flow meter:
Elliptic gear flow meter is composed of a metering box and a pair of elliptic gear installed in the metering box, and the upper and lower cover plate form a sealed crescent cavity (because of the rotation of the gear, so not sealed) as a unit of calculation of displacement. When the measured liquid enters the flow time through the pipeline, the pressure difference generated at the inlet and outlet pushes a pair of gears to rotate continuously, continuously conveying the liquid measured by the lunar cavity to the outlet. The product of the revolutions of the elliptical gear and four times of each displacement is the total amount of the measured liquid flow (see figure for principle). Flowmeter is mainly composed of shell, counter, elliptical gear and coupling (magnetic coupling and axial coupling).
